Things to Do in Bali
Bali has always been one of my favorite destinations. I started traveling there in the late 90s, well before having kids, and now I’ve gone back several times with my kids. There’s definitely a yoga retreat/mindful tourism element, but from a family perspective it’s great. Beaches, rice fields, adventure, water parks, the Monkey Forest – it has it all. Plus it’s truly unique culturally. Be careful not to step on offerings as you walk down the street!
Travelocity asked me to write about Bali in conjunction with The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa in Nusa Dua being a pit stop prize on The Amazing Race. Easy call! I haven’t missed an episode of the show in 30 seasons, so I jumped at the chance to be peripherally associated with it. And the funny thing is that the last time I went to Bali, with my 10-year-old on an around-the-world trip a year and a half ago, I took my Roaming Gnome with us. But we took so many photos of it in other parts of Indonesia, I don’t think we ever took him out in Bali. Next time!
My post on all of our favorite things to do in Bali is linked HERE. Enjoy! And please come back to tell me what I missed. We already have bike rides on our agenda for the next trip, but I’m always looking for more suggestions.
